Topiramate is an antiepileptic agent which is classified as a sulphamate-substituted monosaccharide.
Topiramate is indicated in monotherapy and adjunctive treatment of generalized tonic-clonic seizures or partial seizures with or without secondary generalization and adjunctive treatment of seizures in Lennox-Gastaut syndrome.
