Ernesto Alegria
Group CFO
- Graduate degree in International Relations from Sciences-Po, Paris, France. B.A. in Economics and in Political Sciences from the University of California- Los Angeles (UCLA).
- 2024, joined Pharmathen as Group CFO and is based in the company’s offices in Switzerland.
- Has an extensive career in finance within the Pharmaceutical Industry in both publicly listed and private equity owned companies: Primex Pharmaceuticals, Acino, Takeda, Nycomed.
- Broad international background from Europe, the US, Latin America and other emerging markets.
Efthymios Koutris
Chief Development Officer
- Diploma in Chemical Engineering (M.Sc.Eng.) from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki
- 2000, started working at Pharmathen holding several roles in Research & Development
- Scientific achievements: 56 patent certificates & applications and development of more than 90 pharmaceutical products
- Project leader of the design and the investment plan of the 17000m2 production site at Sapes, Komotini
- Developed innovative drug delivery technologies/products with several applications (PF ophthalmics, sustained release, LAIs etc.)
Mohit Singh
Chief Commercial Officer
- Engineer and MBA from the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, New Delhi
- 2013, started working at Pharmathen in Business Development & Portfolio Management roles
- 16 years of experience, both in Developed and Emerging Markets, in Global Business Development, Strategy and Portfolio Management roles
- In the past, held leadership positions in various pharmaceutical companies such as Portfolio Lead for Branded Generics and Group Director of Business Development.
Dr. Sotiria Chaitidou
Vice President R&D / Innovative Formulations
- PhD in Polymer Science and Technology (development of advanced polymeric materials for bio-separation and drug delivery applications)
- Diploma with distinction in Chemical Engineering ( M.Sc.Eng. ) from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki & Interdisciplinary Master (M.Sc.) in Nanosciences & Nanotechnologies
- 2009, started working at Pharmathen holding several roles in Research & Development
- Lead the development of Long-Acting Injectable products-LAIs (polymeric micro- and nano- particles, micro- and nano-suspensions, hydrogels)
- Contributed to the technology transfer of LAIs from small to industrial scale

- 20+ years of global procurement leadership across Animal Health (Private Equity backed), Industrial and Automotive sectors, managing up to €1bn spend and multinational teams across Europe, the Americas and Asia.
- Strong track record transforming procurement into a centralized & strategic global function in mid-size or large companies.
- Proven ability to secure complex supply chains including in crisis periods and inflation shocks.

- With more than twenty years of leadership experience in driving multicultural organizations to high performance culture and achievements through centralization /digitalization of procedures and employer branding actions
- Developed and implemented a wide range of initiatives focused on the company’s global talent strategy, including staffing, career development and reward systems
- Improved leadership HR engagement, staff effectiveness and retention as well as developed and implemented HR processes infrastructure globally

- Committed to fostering a strong quality culture and embedding it as a strategic enabler across the organization.
- Focused on driving operational excellence, advancing digitalization, and building high-performing, inclusive teams.
- Joined Pharmathen in 2024, based in Athens.
- Holds an MBA in Quality Management and a B.Sc. in Chemistry.
