Pharmathen Achieves EcoVadis Silver Medal for Sustainability in 2024

In August 2024, Pharmathen proudly achieved the EcoVadis Silver Medal distinction, a significant milestone in our journey to enhance our Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices.

The 2024 Silver Medal comes with an improved overall score of 67/100, a 14-point increase from 2023, when Pharmathen was awarded the bronze medal. This improvement places us in the top 15% of all companies assessed by the EcoVadis platform over the past 12 months. The performance attained ranked Pharmathen at the top 8% in the sector (manufacture of basic pharmaceutical products and pharmaceutical preparations industry).

This achievement was made possible through improved corporate disclosures, such as Pharmathen’s Sustainability Report, its corporate-wide cooperation and culture for transparency, third-party assessments of the company’s sustainability performance, such as the independent Energy Audit, Pharmathen’s endorsement of  internationally-acknowledged Sustainability initiatives, such as  the United Nations Global Compact, the development of policies that strengthen the company’s corporate governance and significant employee engagement in ESG-related matters.

Pharmathen’s 2024 sustainability score places us in the 87th percentile, meaning our score is higher than or equal to 87% of all companies rated by EcoVadis at the time of our scorecard’s publication.

This recognition reflects our ongoing commitment to making a positive impact on patients' lives through sustainable actions and practices. It underscores Pharmathen’s dedication to embedding sustainability in the business model, while driving positive social and environmental outcomes.

Looking ahead, Pharmathen remains committed to further strengthening its sustainability initiatives and making a meaningful impact on the world around us.
